About

Baton Rouge designer Sara Brignac is best known for her fresh take on classic style.  Grounded by traditional design principles, Sara creates custom spaces which reflect an authentic expression of each client’s unique personality and lifestyle.  Her approach seamlessly blends the elements of vibrant color, texture, and pattern, with quality furnishings, vintage finds and antiques, and appropriate accessories.  The result is a layered, collected and timeless aesthetic that is unique to each project.

Sara’s design expertise comes from a cultivated mixture of education, travel and life experiences.  Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the School of Design at San Diego State University.  While in San Diego, she had the opportunity to intern with and then work for Carrier Design Group (now Jossy + Carrier).   Sara went on to earn her Master’s degree in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design.  Her preservation background offered her the opportunity to work in a number of areas within the building and decorative arts; including projects with The Texas Historical Commission, and, upon moving back to her native Baton Rouge, LA – The Louisiana Department of Historic Preservation.  The combination of her exposure to the casual southern California lifestyle, and the graceful design details within the historic architectural fabric of the South, created the framework of Sara’s signature style.

In 2005 Sara took this foundation and formed Workshop 31Twelve.   She began with a focus on single space design and renovation.  Her work soon blossomed into a full service interiors consulting firm.  Over her career, Sara has built a solid base of loyal clients who appreciate her traditional yet one-of-a-kind aesthetic; as well as her client-focused approach to design solutions.
